Hard Earned

With prices of many goods and services rising at a faster rate than salaries, many Americans are struggling financially. "Hard Earned" follows several individuals and families who struggle to get by while earning as little as $8 per hour, doing whatever they can to survive. The docuseries follows the subjects at home and at work, showcasing how they deal with the rising costs of such necessities as housing, food and medical bills while making low wages at their places of employment. The featured families include a Chicago couple who both work at a pharmacy while raising their two children, a 20-year-old California man who works multiple jobs but can only afford to live in a garage with his pregnant girlfriend and her cousin, and a married Wisconsin couple in their 60s who work low-paying jobs to avoid foreclosure after losing the higher-paying jobs they had for many years.
